Psychological Assessment
A range of psychological assessments and reports for children, adolescents, adults and older adults. Referrals can be made by various individuals depending on the type of assessments and report required. The different types of psychological assessments provided include:
Intellectual/Cognitive
Cognitive testing is typically used for potential intellectual disability, developmental delay, executive functioning (e.g., attention) concerns, impaired academic progress or if an assessment of intelligence is deemed necessary. This also includes identifying intellectual giftedness.
Cognitive assessments can also be conducted as part of an NDIS application.
Forensic
Pre-sentencing reports, Treatment reports and capacity assessments for the purposes of Court appearances can be provided for individuals who have been charged with offences. Referrals for these assessments and reports are typically made directly from solicitors, barristers, or from the Court.
Psychosocial/Functional Capacity
Psychosocial and functional capacity assessments assess overall day to day functioning, and make recommendations for ongoing support. An individual’s ability for daily living skills (adaptive functioning) can also be assessed.
